Hermitage, PA — September 11, 2024 — The LindenPointe Development Corporation proudly announces that the Pennsylvania Cybersecurity Center (PCC) will host White House National Cyber Director Harry Coker, Jr. at the eCenter on Tuesday, September 17th. This event will spotlight the PCC’s role in expanding the broader cyber ecosystem to develop the talent crucial for our nation's security while developing the regional cyber workforce.
The PCC was a key recipient of a $1.15 million grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission’s (ARC) POWER (Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization) Initiative. This funding, part of the largest POWER package to date totaling nearly $54 million, supports the PCC’s expansion throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the development of new programs and initiatives.
The PCC, in partnership with Penn State University, offers essential cybersecurity training for high school, college, and adult learners. Director Harry Coker, Jr., confirmed by the Senate on December 12, 2023, brings extensive experience from his roles as a senior executive at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the National Security Agency (NSA), along with a career as a Naval Officer. His visit underscores the importance of the PCC’s mission and its alignment with national cybersecurity goals.
The event will be held at the LindenPointe eCenter, a LEED Certified business and technology incubator in Hermitage, PA.
