The attached Proclamation of Disaster Emergency for the City of Hermitage was executed this morning and follows similar declarations by Governor Wolf (March 6) and the Mercer County Commissioners (March 19). The Hermitage Board of Commissioners will formally act at their March 25, 2020 meeting to extend the length of the Proclamation.
This action gives the City the necessary flexibility to respond quickly to the needs of the community due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although this flexibility is something we all hope is not needed, we must be prepared to act promptly when necessary.
