*** SCAM ALERT ***

Penn Power has learned of two separate SCAMS in our service territory over the past couple weeks. The SCAMS are as follows...

1) Phone calls are being made to residents offering 40% their Penn Power electric bill if they accept the offer. The caller ID shows as Penn Power and the Customer Service number of 800-720-3600. This number is actually the Penn Power customer service number. The SCAM has found a way to use the number. Please have your residents just HANG UP! It is a SCAM.

2) Individuals are going door to door with material offering our Surge Protection. Penn Power does not have employees going door to door to sell or offer products. Please have your residents not accept a product at the door or sign up for anything. If a Penn Power employee ever knocks at the door the employees will be in a Penn Power marked vehicle and be wearing a Penn Power photo ID.

If you have any questions concerning your account, please call the Penn Power contact center at 1-800-720-3600.
