"The Hermitage Board of Commissioners approved the rental property inspection ordinance at their February meeting, though work on implementing the ordinance moved forward at Thursday night’s workshop, which involved setting the licensing fees and appointing the rental property inspector.
The proposed inspection fees would be $50 per unit, for up to six units in a building. A duplex would be $100 per year, while a single-family home would be $50, Hinkson said.
“Now if you had a 10-unit building, the inspection fee would be $400 a year, with $200 per year for the building and $20 per unit,” he said.
Re-inspection fees, if the inspector finds an issue at a unit and has to return, would be set at $25, $50, $75, then $100, Hinkson said."
