"...Iowa Square will remain in place until there is a decision on a lawsuit, which alleges that the realty company has breached its contract with the McConnell family by not paying rent or taxes.
That lawsuit will continue to move forward in January. As part of his Dec. 21 decision, St. John ordered that both sides meet with him before the end of next month for a pretrial conference.
But Iowa Square is facing an even earlier deadline. St. John also ordered that it place a $25,000 bond by Jan. 4 with the Mercer County Prothonotary’s office. If it does not, GFM 23 could again file for immediate control of the mall.
After the Dec. 21 hearing, Bauman declined to comment on Iowa Square’s future plans for the lease.
The lawsuit will determine the mall’s future, and perhaps its survival."
