"HERMITAGE — After several months of research and work, Hermitage city commissioners now have a proposed ordinance for licensing and inspection of rental properties.
Commissioners had their first chance Thursday to publicly comment on the draft document, which would regulate non-owner occupied properties in the city. The proposed ordinance provides outlines, such as an inspection of rental properties at least once every five years.
Commissioners could take their first vote on the ordinance at their next meeting, 6 p.m. Dec. 19. After the initial vote, the commissioners will hold a public hearing on the ordinance in January."
