On January 5, the Hermitage Board of Commissioners held its annual Reorganization Meeting. District Justice Mary Odem administered the Oath of Office to Commissioners Louis Squatrito, Cameron Linton, and John Moroco, who rejoined the Board following their successful reelection campaigns. City Treasurer Bernie Harry was also sworn in after being reelected.

During the meeting, Duane Piccirilli was reelected as Board President, and William J. Moder III was reelected as Board Vice President.

The Small Business Advantage Grant Program through the PA Department of Environmental Protection is now accepting applications for projects that lower energy consumption or reduce pollution.

• Funding is first-come, first-served until funds run out or March 13, 2026 (whichever comes first).
• Grants cover 50–80% of project costs, up to $12,000.
• Eligible projects must save at least $500 annually and reduce energy or pollution-related expenses by 20% or more.
• Open to PA-registered, for-profit businesses with 100 or fewer employees.
