Spring 2025 Bulk Trash Collection – City of Hermitage

 

Aiken Refuse, the City of Hermitage’s new curbside provider for solid waste, recycling, and yard waste collection, will be offering a Spring Bulk Trash Cleanup for residents. Collection will follow a similar schedule to last fall, with minor adjustments.

 

Collection Schedule:

  1. Monday & Tuesday regular collection days – Place items at the curb by Sunday, March 30 for pickup during the week of March 31 – April 3.
  2. Wednesday & Thursday regular collection days – Place items at the curb by Sunday, April 6 for pickup during the week of April 7 – 10.

 

Important Notes:

  1. Bulk items will be collected separately from regular trash and picked up at some point during your designated week.
  2. Only residents current on their quarterly garbage bill will be eligible for bulk collection.

 

Accepted Items Include:

Furniture, appliances (large & small), mattresses, bicycles, lamps, tables, and more. Freon-containing items (air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, etc.) must have doors removed and be properly tagged by a certified technician.

 

Items NOT Accepted:

Bagged leaves, TVs, computers, fluorescent bulbs, construction materials, and extra household garbage in bags or boxes.
