The Hermitage Business Association (HBA) is a group of business, industrial, and professional members with the mission of promoting the Hermitage area by developing a unified business community, supporting cooperative marketing programs, and supporting the growth of business members. The organization was founded in 1983 to serve the needs of the City's businesses. Today the total number of businesses in the City of Hermitage exceeds 800.

The HBA meets each month at our member restaurants. These meetings provide networking opportunities for business representatives as well as a chance to learn about new area businesses and to participate in projects that build a better community in which to live and work.

For more information about the HBA, please call the Office of Community and Economic Development at 724-983-0900 or send an e-mail to hba@hermitage.net.

February 12, 2011 - Hermitage Business Association Announces Scholarship

HERMITAGE
HBA enables networking, discussion, partnerships

Sharon-Herald – Sunday, February 20, 2011
By Erin Palko Communications Coordinator, Hermitage Business Association

The Hermitage Business Association provides the business community of Hermitage and beyond with a forum for networking and collaboration among its members. HBA’s diverse membership represents many sectors of business, including finance, health care, insurance, restaurants, education, media, construction and retail.

In 2011, HBA will remain committed to helping area high school students develop budding interests in business by once again offering a $500 scholarship to a Hickory High School or Kennedy Catholic High School senior residing in Hermitage and pursuing further education. HBA members also take part in interviewing workshops at Hickory High, giving juniors and seniors the opportunity to hone their interview skills before entering the job market.

On July 2, HBA will once again host the annual Hermitage Fireworks Extravaganza, as well as contribute to the Father’s Day Car Show, the Hermitage Arts Festival, and the Holiday Light Parade.

HBA holds lunch meetings the fourth Thursday of every month and always welcomes new members. For more information about HBA, call the Hermitage Office of Community and Economic Development at 724-983-0900, or send an e-mail to hba@hermitage.net.
