December 29, 2010 - Slovesko Will Fill Vacancy

Eligibility, Manner of Election, and Terms of Office

Qualified voters of the city are eligible to hold the office of City Commissioner.

The City Commissioners are elected at large by the voters of the city.

The terms of office are on an alternating basis so that a majority of the City Commissioners are elected at each municipal election to take the place of the City Commissioners whose terms of office expire the following January. The City Commissioner who receives the least number of votes of those City Commissioners who are elected serves a two-year term in office. The remaining City Commissioners serve a four-year term in office.
